A baby’s scalp is sensitive, so as a parent, you want to use products that you know are safe, gentle, and effective. As your child’s hair begins to grow, you might notice that your little one needs more than just a gentle hair cleanser. Some children require more hair-softening and detangling measures when it comes to their haircare routine. Below, you’ll find an all-natural shampoo option, plus two all-natural hair care recipes that utilize moringa oil.
All Natural Shampoo
Mummy’s Miracle Moringa Baby Wash and Shampoo is an all-natural, gentle cleanser that is tear-free. It utilizes the benefits of moringa oil, glycerin, honey extract, white tea extract, and chamomile to leave your child’s hair soft, clean, and healthy. It may be used on both hair and body. It is also safe for cradle cap and sensitive skin, including those with eczema.
To use this shampoo, just pour a dime-sized amount into your palms and massage into wet hair starting from the scalp and working to the ends, then rinse.
All Natural Conditioner
As mentioned earlier, as your child’s hair begins to grow, you might find that shampoo alone isn’t enough to keep your baby’s hair soft and smooth. An all-natural conditioner is a great addition to your baby shampoo needs. Below is a recipe that will reduce breakage, condition the hair, and leave it soft and manageable. Check Moringa Powder for Hair Growth
- 1 cup coconut milk
- ½ avocado (peeled and mashed until smooth)
- 4 drops lavender essential oil (for fragrance)
- 2 drops moringa oil
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Afterwetting your child’s hair, apply the mixture to the hair and scalp. Allow to rest on the head for at least 15 minutes. Wash out of the hair with a gentle shampoo and then rinse. Store this mixture in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. Use within one week.
All Natural Leave-in Conditioner
In addition to shampoo and conditioner, a leave-in conditioner will help keep your child’s hair soft, manageable, and less prone to breakage. This recipe utilizes distilled water (to prevent any contaminants in the recipe), aloe vera (for strength and smoothness), moringa oil (for shine), and grapeseed extract.
- 1 cup distilled water
- 1 teaspoon pure aloe vera gel (best if taken directly from the plant)
- 10 drops grapeseed extract
- 4 drops moringa oil
Mix all ingredients and then use a funnel to pour into a spray bottle. Shake the bottle well before spraying onto the hair from roots to ends. Do not rinse. This recipe may also be used as a hair detangler. Just use a comb gently work through tangles, starting at the roots.
Choosing all-natural products and recipes for your child’s hair care ensures that you know exactly what you’re putting on your child’s body. These recipes utilize essential oils, extracts, and other ingredients that are historically known for their many benefits.
